Came here recently for a quick dinner. I didn’t really enjoy the food when I tried it long time ago. But they must have done something differently because the recent reviews are promising, and our experience proved them right! I really really enjoy the Bak Kut Teh. It’s packed full of flavour. One of the nicest Bak Kut Teh I had in Perth. And its served over a candle to keep it warm throughout our meal time. Absolutely delicious and I highly recommend this. Our other dishes were nice too. You can tell that the chef knows what they are doing. It was cooked nicely. Tasted fresh. Decent flavours. Service was quick and they were quite attentive and friendly too. The only thing to be mindful was we think serving is slightly smaller than expected. Me and my wife shared the Bak Kut Teh, Garlic Vegs and Peking Spare Ribs.. and we were still feeling hungry after. Either that or we were just hungry or food tasted so good we wanted more… or combinations of all those! Regardless, we were happy with our dinner and looked forward to returning again!

Smoky charred beef fried kuey teow and salted chili chicken for today's lunch didn't disappoint us! Generous portion meals and definitely one of the best in the area. Highly recommend!

Hardly anyone in the cafe. I am not calling it a restaurant as it is more of a cafe for me. Menu is long and we ordered nasi goreng, fried mi and rice with spicy pork rib. Anyway, there is a photo of nasi goreng with fried egg on top the rice in the menu. Sadly when the nasi goreng came, it did not has the fried egg on top and after enquiring, we were told that we need to order separately when ordering. Question is how would I know that I need to order separately and I was not even given the choice when ordering. Either the menu is a mis-representation or the order taker is really bad and did not ask us on the options. Overall the quality of food is OK but the customer experience is really bad. Even chilli sauce is also chargeable when it is free in other Chinese Malaysia or Singapore cafe / restaurant.

The food here was great but the team at Yen Yen were incredible! Our whole family came together after the funeral of our brother/son/uncle (obviously they didn’t know that). We put in an order for delivery but then changed last minute to pick up. We left some condiments behind at pick up - the team took it upon themselves to deliver the condiments to us after we had left without us requesting it and without extra cost. Such an astonishing act of kindness on such a sad day for our family was truly beautiful. And the food was amazing after a long hard day. 11/10 will be eating from here again.
